Taking collective action at the federal level to protect local CCA resources.

LEAN's CCA Federal Policy Committee

As the only national resource of information, policy and advocacy for Community Choice Aggregation (CCA), LEAN Energy US has formed a CCA Federal Policy Committee with the mission to converge and amplify our collective voice.

LEAN’s Federal Policy Committee represents the 40 million Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) participants across ten U.S. states, serving as a collective voice for engaging with federal policymakers, agencies, and legislators.

This committee unites CCA stakeholders to advance their role in the clean energy transition, advocating for policies that support local energy programs, strengthen community resilience, customer protection, and deliver affordable energy to residents and businesses. By fostering dialogue with federal decision-makers, the committee ensures that the interests of thousands of CCA communities are heard and prioritized, driving progress for a cleaner, more equitable energy future in the U.S.

Our Shared Objectives

Showcase CCA efforts from diverse states that drive energy independence, protect consumers, prioritize competitive pricing, and develop local economic benefits.
Multiple and scale
CCA programs across
the country.
Craft a unified vision of CCA as an enabler for scaling the clean energy transition and empowering local governments.
Garner increased support from the federal government
for CCA communities nationwide.

Committee Members' Benefits

Through a series of collaborative initiatives organized by LEAN and a DC-based government affairs consulting firm, committee members have the opportunity to foster dialogue with the federal government and stay up to date on federal policy developments. These engagements are designed to facilitate knowledge-sharing, build relationships, and identify collective solutions for advancing the clean energy transition and empowering local communities through CCA.

Chair, Federal Policy Committee, LEAN Energy US

"I am honored to have been selected by my CCA peers to serve as Vice Chair of LEAN Energy's Federal Policy Committee. As CCAs, we are collectively transforming the energy landscape from the ground up — empowering local communities, expanding access to clean energy, and driving innovation in retail energy markets.

I look forward to working alongside Chair Dominic Faria, Claire Dépit-Strömbäck, and the committee to advance the interests of CCAs before the federal government. Together, we will ensure that federal policy supports our mission to deliver affordable, resilient, and equitable energy for all."
