On September 25, the San Diego County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved funding for a CCA study within the context of their County Renewable Energy Plan, which earmarked $545,000 in a two-phase planning process. The study will examine rate impacts for local residents and businesses and how CCA can leverage and accelerate the development of new renewable energy resources in the San Diego region. Although there is a long way to go before a final decision, we applaud the County Supervisors for taking this important step and acknowledge the advocacy effort being led by the San Diego Energy District Foundation. Way to go San Diego!
